India, Feb. 23 -- The IT BT Department, Karnataka, through the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society, has released the Karnataka BioEconomy Report 2025, marking a significant milestone in the State's innovation journey. The report was unveiled by Priyank Kharge, Minister for Information Technology & Biotechnology and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka,and highlights Karnataka's BioEconomy crossing $39.2 billion, contributing 21% to India's BioEconomy and over 10% to the State's GSDP.The sector continues to demonstrate strong, diversified growth across BioPharma ($16.44 Billion), BioIndustrial & Biomanufacturing ($11.46 Billion, fastest-growing), and BioServices & Digital Health (25.8% share).
