India, July 14 -- The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has inaugurated a cutting-edgeMagnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) research facility, established under the Institute of Eminence (IoE) initiative. Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, formally inaugurated the facility.

Equipped with a1.5 Tesla clinical-grade MRI scanner, this facility is thefirst of its kind among leading engineering and technology institutions in India, dedicated exclusively to research and teaching.

Unlike conventional MRI setups embedded within hospital ecosystems, this facility is designed to fosterunrestricted innovation in medical imaging, particularly inMagnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
