Singapore, Jan. 27 -- Japan-based companies Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. and Towa Pharmaceutical Co. have entered into an agreement to establish a strategic collaborative framework in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Through this agreement, Otsuka and Towa aim to achieve a stable supply of pharmaceuticals by transferring and outsourcing the manufacture of certain pharmaceuticals owned by Otsuka, utilizing Otsuka's data in the development of Towa's generic drugs, and establishing a mutual backup manufacturing system.
