Singapore, May 30 -- The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors has approved $60 million in financing to support thefirst phase of the One Health Programme in Central Asia. The financing package includes a $30 million concessional credit for the Kyrgyz Republic and a $30 million grant for Tajikistan to help strengthen their capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to priority health risks affecting both humans and animals. Additionally, each country will receive a $1.79 million grant fromthe Pandemic Fundto respond to the relevant challenges.
