Bangladesh, July 28 -- A torrent of 64mm of rain over three hours on Monday morning has caused waterlogging across the port city of Chattogram, with some roads submerged in water up to waist height and others knee-deep.

The water has entered stores in certain markets.

Commuters, Higher Secondary School examinees, and others faced difficulties navigating the flooding in the city.

The Patenga Meteorological Department says the rain is expected to last throughout Monday, and more rain is on the way on Tuesday and several days after that.

The rain caused waterlogging in Kapasgola, Katalganj, Chawkbazar, Panchlaish, the Prabartak intersection, GEC, Muradpur, AK Khan Gate, Agrabad Commercial Area, Tin Pole Matha, Riazuddin Bazar, Hemsen Lan...
