Dhaka, Nov. 27 -- Two people, including a police sub-inspector, have died in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Fatikchhari, Chattogram.

The accident occurred on Thursday on the Chattogram-Khagrachhari regional highway in Paindong Union, police said.

The dead have been identified as Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam and Hafizur Rahman, both of Manikchhari Police Station in Khagrachhari.

Saiful was a resident of Munshiganj, while Hafizur lived in Manikchhari.

Two constables from the same police station, Abdullah Al Noman and Md Ripon, were also injured in the accident.
