Bangladesh, July 18 -- Three workers have died after falling from the ninth floor of an under-construction building near Rangam Convention Hall in Chattogram's Kotwali.

The incident occurred around 12:15pm on Friday while the men were plastering a wall, police say.

The dead have been identified as Mohammad Hasan, Fakhrul Islam and Md Rashed -- all from Noakhali.

Kotwali Police Station chief Abdul Karim confirmed that the workers fell while on the job.

Sub-Inspector Nurul Alam Ashek of the Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost said the three were brought to the hospital in critical condition.

Two were declared dead on arrival by doctors, while Rashed died later in the afternoon while undergoing treatment in Ward No. 28. ...
