Dhaka, Nov. 24 -- A Chattogram court has placed former Raozan lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury on a three-day remand in a case over the killing of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader Nurul Alam Nuru in the city nearly eight years ago.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ibrahim Khalil issued the remand order on Monday.
Currently in jail, Karim participated in the court proceedings virtually.
"The investigating officer had sought a five-day remand. The court granted three days," said Riyad Uddin, assistant public prosecutor of the Chattogram Metropolitan Court.
CID Inspector Nasir Uddin Russell is investigating the case and had filed the remand petition on Sunday.
