Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- The Rapid Action Battalion has rescued a boy abducted in Chattogram from Brahmanbaria.

The one-and-a-half-year old was rescued early on Thursday morning from Sarail Upazila and brought back to Chattogram.

The RAB says it has arrested two people over the incident - a child snatcher named Dulal Mia, 48, and his customer md Morshed.

The RAB says that Dulal abducted the boy on Feb 19 before selling him to Morshed.

The elite police force says that the detained Morshed had lived as an expatriate in Saudi Arabia for 17 years. He has five daughters, but no sons. He contacted Dulal to abduct a boy for him.

Lt Col Mahbub Alam, a RAB-7 commander, held a press conference over the incident on Thursday.
