Dhaka, Dec. 22 -- A court has ordered that Sajjad Hossain alias Chhoto Sajjad, a "top-listed criminal" in Chattogram, and his wife be placed under arrest in connection with the killing of a madrasa student during last year's student-led mass uprising.
The order was issued by Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Bakar Siddique following a hearing on Sunday. The decision was reported on Monday.
Investigators had applied last week for Sajjad and his wife Tamanna, identified by a single name, to be formally arrested in the case filed at Kotwali Police Station.
