Dhaka, Jan. 25 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chief Tarique Rahman is addressing a public rally in the port city of Chattogram for the first time in two decades.
Thousands of party supporters are attending Sunday's rally at the Polo Ground as part of Tarique's election campaign.
His last public rally in Chattogram was held on May 6, 2005, at the Laldighi ground, when he served as the party's senior joint secretary general. This time, he is visiting the city in his role as BNP chairperson during the ongoing election campaign.
Supporters began arriving at the venue in processions from early morning, and by around 10am, the venue was filled to capacity.
