Dhaka, March 31 -- Five people have been killed and at least six others have been injured in a road accident between a bus and a minibus in Chattogram's Lohagara.
The accident occurred in the Jangalia area on Monday morning, police said.
A Soudia Paribahan bus headed to Cox's Bazar crashed into a minibus travelling in the opposite direction, leading to casualties, according to Sub-Inspector Manzur Hossain of Dohazari Highway Police.
Five people were killed on the spot. The Fire Service are conducting rescue operations.
Rakhal Chandra Rudra, leader of the Lohagara Fire Station and duty officer at the scene, said the minibus was headed from Cox's Bazar to Lohagara.
All of the dead were passengers on the minibus, he added.
