India, July 14 -- Yamaha has introduced a new iteration of its FZ-X motorcycle in India, now equipped with mild-hybrid technology and priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks the brand's latest push toward more fuel-efficient mobility without altering core engine specs. The hybrid system, built around a Smart Motor Generator, includes features like start-stop functionality aimed at reducing fuel consumption in stop-and-go traffic.

The bike retains its 149cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivering 12.2bhp at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5,500rpm, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
