New Delhi, June 11 -- Xiaomi has set a new production EV lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife with its SU7 Ultra electric sedan, completing the 20.8km track in 7:04.957 minutes and surpassing the times set by the Rimac Nevera and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. The SU7 Ultra is powered by a tri-motor setup developed with CATL, featuring two front-mounted V8-series motors and one rear-mounted V6-series motor that together produce 1,527bhp. This powertrain allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 1.97 seconds and reach a top speed of 350km/h. A lightweight carbon-fibre body also helped the SU7 Ultra achieve a record lap time of 6:46.874 for a four-door electric vehicle at the same circuit.
