India, Feb. 19 -- Volkswagen has launched its flagship seven-seater SUV, the Tayron R-Line, in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 46.99 lakh. Bookings are now open for a token amount of Rs 51,000 at authorised dealerships as well as on the company's official website. The newly launched SUV is essentially a stretched version of the five-seater Tiguan R-Line (priced at Rs 45.73 lakh), which made it to India last year in April. Compared to its sibling, the Tayron R-Line offers up to 198 litres more luggage capacity. With all seats in place, it provides 345 litres of boot space, expanding to 850 litres when the third row is folded, while the Tiguan R-Line has a 652-litre boot.
