New Delhi, July 23 -- Volkswagen India has issued a second voluntary recall for its Taigun SUV and Virtus sedan, affecting around 961 units produced between December 1, 2021, and May 31, 2025. The recall stems from routine quality checks that revealed a crack in the rear seatbelt's metal base frame, as well as the possibility of incorrect components fitted in both front and rear seatbelt systems. While no incidents or injuries have been reported, Volkswagen, along with Skoda, has extended the recall to a total of 1,821 India-manufactured vehicles, including the Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq.
