New Delhi, June 23 -- Volkswagen has unveiled the Golf GTI Edition 50, a special-edition hot hatch that marks 50 years since the iconic GTI badge first appeared in 1975. Although the official golden jubilee falls in 2026, Volkswagen has revealed full details ahead of time, with production starting by the end of 2025 and deliveries set for early 2026. Under the bonnet sits a retuned 2.0-litre turbocharged engine shared with the Clubsport, but now uprated to deliver 321bhp and 420 Nm of torque. That's more power and torque figures than the Clubsport, helping the car sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds using a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
