New Delhi, May 20 -- With a strong commitment to green transport, the Uttarakhand Government has installed 25 electric vehicle charging stations along the Char Dham Yatra route. The initiative not only promotes greener travel options for pilgrims but also contributes to the broader push for sustainable mobility in India. With each charging station offering a 60 kW output, the infrastructure is equipped to handle the demands of EVs along the challenging Char Dham route. The network is said to grow to 38 stations-28 operated by the Uttarakhand Transport Department and 10 by THDC (Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited).
