New Delhi, Nov. 5 -- Following a recall made for 2,257 units of the ninth-generation Camry, Toyota has issued a voluntary recall for 1,862 Vellfires, and 744 Land Cruisers, taking the total count of vehicles recalled up to 4,863 units. All these cars are said to have been affected by the same issue, which is related to a faulty rear view camera.

The exact reason for the recall has been stated as a potential fault in the 360-degree camera system of the cars, wherein a software error in the respective ECU could cause the rear view image to either freeze while reversing the car, or not appear at all, in certain cases.
