New Delhi, May 2 -- Tata Motors posted total sales of 72,753 units in April 2025, down from 77,521 units sold during the same month last year. The decline was largely driven by a slowdown in domestic demand, where sales dropped 7% YoY to 70,963 units. In the passenger vehicle (PV) segment, which includes both electric and internal combustion engine models, domestic sales fell by 6% to 45,199 units from 47,883 units a year ago. However, the company found some relief in its export performance, which surged by 233% to 333 units. The total PV sales, including exports, however, stood at 45,532 units, reflecting a 5% decline. As for electric vehicles, the sales reached 5,318 units last month, showing a 16% drop year-on-year.
