New Delhi, July 22 -- Skoda and Volkswagen have announced a fresh recall in India, affecting a total of 1,821 cars due to seatbelt-related safety concerns. This marks the second such recall this year, following a larger one in May that involved over 47,000 vehicles. The issue affects select models built between December 2021 and May 2025.

Skoda's share of this recall covers 860 units of the Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq. The problem lies in the seatbelt system, where some cars may have a cracked metal frame or wrongly fitted parts. To ensure safety, Skoda will replace these components free of cost, although a timeline for repairs hasn't been confirmed yet.
