India, Oct. 13 -- Renault has expanded its global EV strategy by unveiling the Kwid E-Tech in Brazil. Based on the Dacia Spring EV platform, the compact hatchback has already been seen testing on Indian roads, indicating a possible launch soon. The model will target India's affordable EV segment, competing with the Citroen e-C3 and Tata Tiago EV. Renault's move aligns with its plan to grow in emerging markets by offering a small electric vehicle designed for urban usage. The brand aims to strengthen its position among city buyers seeking low-cost electric mobility in one of the world's fastest-growing EV markets.
