India, Aug. 29 -- Volvo has introduced the new XC70 plug-in hybrid SUV, which offers a long electric-only driving range. The XC70 can cover over 200 kilometres on electric power alone under the CLTC cycle, marking it as the plug-in hybrid with the highest electric range in Volvo's current series. It is positioned between the XC60 and XC90 models, aimed at buyers who want to gradually switch to electric driving. The XC70 is built on Volvo's Scalable Modular Architecture (SMA), which combines an electric motor with a petrol engine to deliver a total range of more than 1,200km.
