New Delhi, June 19 -- If you are a frequent traveller on a highway, then rejoice as you will soon have a new way to save on tolls. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a FASTag-based Annual Pass of Rs 3,000 for private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans, which once activated, will remain in effect for a year or until you've made 200 trips, whichever comes first. It will be available starting from August 15, 2025. It's worth noting that each toll counts as one trip. The new FASTag-based Annual Pass is aimed at making highway travel less of a financial headache for people who drive often and are tired of the constant toll charges.
