New Delhi, July 9 -- BMW India has opened pre-bookings for the second-generation 2 Series Gran Coupe with its official India launch set for July 17. Locally manufactured at BMW's Chennai plant, this sporty four-door coupe introduces a sharper design, a more engaging driving experience, and a tech-rich cabin centered around BMW's new Curved Widescreen Display and Operating System 9. Under the hood, it will be initially available in a petrol-only 218i guise, powered by a 1.5 litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing around 154bhp, paired with an 8-speed automatic. This launch positions the 2 Series Gran Coupe as a stylish, tech-forward option in the compact luxury segment for young, urban professionals.
