India, Aug. 26 -- The Mercedes-AMG GT XX Concept made a bold statement at the Nardo high-speed test track in Italy by covering an impressive 5,479km in a single 24-hour period. This was a new world record for the maximum distance travelled by an EV in one day. Mercedes also set a global EV record by covering the Earth's equatorial distance of 40,075 km in under eight days. Built on the AMG.EA architecture, the GT XX has three axial-flux electric motors producing around 1,323bhp.
