India, Feb. 4 -- Maruti Suzuki kicked off 2025 with record-breaking January sales, delivering 212,251 units, up from 199,364 in January 2024. While the company achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, performance across segments varied. The compact car segment (Baleno, Celerio, and Dzire) recorded strong growth, with January sales rising to 82,241 units from 76,533 in 2024. However, despite this monthly increase, YTD sales declined to 630,889 units, compared to 686,544 last year.

The mini car segment (Alto and S-Presso) saw a decline, with sales dropping to 14,247 units from 15,849 last year. Year-to-date (YTD) sales also fell sharply to 103,889 units, down from 115,483 in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
