INDIA, Dec. 1 -- Maruti Suzuki will launch its first-ever electric car, the e Vitara, in India tomorrow. The electric SUV is likely to have a starting price of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki will enter India's EV market with the launch of the e Vitara tomorrow, December 2. The electric SUV made its India debut earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo and is already on sale in Europe. It is developed and manufactured in India at Maruti Suzuki's Hansalpur facility in Gujarat.
