India, Sept. 17 -- Suzuki has confirmed the debut of its first all-electric SUV, the e Vitara, in Japan on 16 January 2026, before its rollout to key international markets, including India and Europe. Built on Suzuki's new HEARTECT-e platform, the model forms part of the company's commitment to introduce six electric vehicles in Japan by FY2030. In India, Maruti Suzuki had already showcased the e Vitara at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, underlining the model's regional importance. Production of the SUV is already underway at Suzuki's Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, a plant inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and it will serve both domestic demand and export requirements.
