New Delhi, Feb. 26 -- Maruti Suzuki has officially begun operations at its new Kharkhoda manufacturing plant in Haryana, which is said to have an initial production capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles per year. The facility adds to the company's production capability in India, alongside its existing plants (Gurgaon and Manesar), and Gujarat (Hansalpur). It is anticipated to gradually increase its production capacity to 1 million units in the future and play a key role in the company's broader strategy to expand its total production capacity to 4 million units per year by 2030-31. Notably, the first model to roll off the line at the state-of-the-art Kharkhoda plant is the popular Brezza SUV, which is currently priced at Rs 8.69 lakh in India.
