India, April 17 -- Mahindra has revealed to us that the company has adopted the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system for exhaust gas treatment for its 2.2 litre diesel engine in order to meet the new BS6 emissions regulations. This engine is used by the BS6 Scorpio and XUV500 while the new Thar should see it as well. News of the updated Alturas G4 with this system is also awaited.

The COVD-19 lockdown has definitely brought Mahindra's manufacturing activities to a halt, like every other car maker in India.
