India, Sept. 10 -- Ferrari has taken the wraps off its new flagship, the 849 Testarossa - the most powerful road car the brand has ever built. It replaces the SF90 Stradale and introduces an all-new plug-in hybrid setup that combines a twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors for a combined output of 1036bhp. The coupe will be priced at 460,000, while the open-top Spider comes in at 500,000, with European deliveries starting next spring and U.S. sales shortly after.

The Testarossa name links Ferrari's past and future, honouring the 1956 500 TR and the 1984 model while marking a new step in hybrid supercars.
