New Delhi, July 30 -- BSA Motorcycles has launched the Scrambler 650 in the UK and Europe, a year after its global debut at the Bike Shed Moto Show in London. Based on the Gold Star 650 platform, the Scrambler is powered by a 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 45bhp at 6,500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox and a 12-litre fuel tank.

The Scrambler 650 differs from the Gold Star 650 in several ways. It gets a larger 19-inch front spoke wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, both fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. This setup helps improve grip on uneven surfaces and adds to the bike's off-road capability.
