India, Feb. 24 -- Toyota has announced a voluntary recall in India for 969 Land Cruisers (FJA300) manufactured between September 4, 2024, and September 30, 2025, and 117 Lexus LX SUVs (FLA310) produced from March 6 to September 29, 2025. The most recent recall shows the brand's proactive effort to mitigate risks and maintain optimal functionality of the cars involved. Though there are no reported incidents in the country as of now, the recall is a preventive measure to reprogram the Transmission Control Computer software. This software controls transmission performance, and updating it helps prevent potential issues while maintaining smooth and reliable gear shifting.
