PATACHARKUCHI, March 2 -- The opposition Congress, in cooperation with members of Patacharkuchi and Bhawanipur Block Congress and Barpeta District Congress, under the directive of its State committee, staged a vigorous protest at Pathsala in front of the Block Congress office yesterday and shouted slogans against the alleged failure of the BJP government to solve the unemployment problem.
The protesters also demanded of the government a halt to the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities. The protesters, while shouting slogans against the government, even blocked the road for some time.
