JORHAT, March 29 -- The BJP has lambasted the Congress party for resorting to spreading misinformation among the tea workers against the saffron party of denying ticket to the incumbent Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa for the Jorhat Parliamentary seat.
Addressing mediapersons at the Jorhat Press Club this afternoon, BJP State unit spokesman Hemanta Kalita, charged the Congress party with spreading false information among the tea garden workers' community against BJP by stating that Tasa has been denied a ticket this time to contest the polls.
It may be mentioned here that Tasa is from the tea tribes community and has been a leader of the Assam Tea Tribes Students' Association.
