Sweden, Dec. 30 -- Since Swiss special envoy Jorg Frieden's visit, who specially flew down to resolve the matter of the fabricated abduction, there is a blanket of silence from both Sri Lankan and Swiss Governments. Is this a sign of stalemate where neither side is willing to budge from their stand or whether the Swiss had decided to make peace with evidence is anyone's guess? The whole Swiss saga, including the matter of granting asylum to IP Nishantha Silva, who is wanted in connection of a murder case, is now either dead or dormant. We can only hope that the inconclusive ending does not come back with a vengeance at a later date to haunt Sri Lanka.
