New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- : The Union Territory Administration of Lakshadweep has moved the Supreme Court challenging a Kerala High Court order, which suspended the conviction of Lakshadweep MP and Nationalist Congress leader (NCP) PP Mohammed Faizal in a case of attempt to murder.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta mentioned the plea seeking an urgent hearing on the Union Territory of Lakshadweep petition before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.

The Union Territory of Lakshadweep was represented by SG Tushar Mehta, ASG KM Nataraj, advocate-on-record Akshay Amritanshu, and advocate Anuj Udupa.
