Jakarta, Oct. 3 -- What began in 2018 as a simple donation driven by three brothers has evolved into Hoopz4Change, a youth-led social movement delivering sport-based education and critical resources to underserved children in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia.
Founded by Kristopher, Preston, and Renzo Gondokusumo, students of British School Jakarta, Hoopz4Change focuses on running basketball clinics and distributing shoes to children in remote communities. Inspired by stories from Coach Regy Nomleni, who described children walking barefoot for kilometers to reach school in Kupang, the brothers began collecting gently used basketball shoes from friends and family.
