Jakarta, Dec. 14 -- X has paid Rp80 million, or around US$5,200, in administrative fines to the Indonesian government for failing to comply on time with regulations on pornographic content moderation.

Director General for Cyberspace Monitoring Alexander Sabar said on Sunday that the fine was paid on December 12, after the ministry issued a third warning letter to X, formerly known as Twitter, for missing the payment deadline.

The warning followed the ministry's findings of pornographic content on the platform, which were first reported on September 12.
