Jakarta, Sept. 27 -- The commemoration of World Tourism Day on September 27, 2025, is seen as a momentum for the revival of Indonesia's tourism sector, in line with the House of Representatives' plan to ratify the Tourism Bill in early October.

Deputy Chair of Commission VII of the House, Lamhot Sinaga, stressed that tourism is not merely a recreational activity but a development instrument that can drive economic growth, create jobs, strengthen intercultural dialogue, and contribute to global peace.

He noted that Indonesia, with its extraordinary natural and cultural wealth, including Lake Toba, should play a leading role in the global tourism agenda.
