Jakarta, Sept. 5 -- The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) has opened the Sahabat Perempuan dan Anak (SAPA) 129 hotline for parents, families, and the public to report cases of violence against women and children during demonstrations.
"We are on standby through call center 129 or WhatsApp at 08111-129-129," Minister Arifah Fauzi said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Based on data compiled by the ministry, 105 children were involved in demonstrations in Jakarta on August 25, 2025.
On August 28, one child participated in a protest in Makassar, 39 in Bali, and around 110 in the second wave of demonstrations in Jakarta. On August 29, at least 23 children joined protests in Semarang, 25 in Yogyakarta, and 56 in Surabay...
