Jakarta, Jan. 17 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said it received reports of wildfires in three provinces, which are Aceh, Riau, and Central Kalimantan, even as parts of the country remain in the rainy season.

Head of BNPB's Data, Information, and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, said here on Saturday that fires were first reported in West Aceh, Aceh Province, on Thursday (January 15) and have not yet been fully extinguished.

According to BNPB's Operational Data Center, the fire in Gampong Lapang, Johan Pahlawan Sub-district, West Aceh, affected around 1.5 hectares.
