Jakarta, Jan. 27 -- The Whoosh high-speed railway, connecting Jakarta with Bandung, accommodated around 66 thousand passengers during the long weekend holiday for Isra Mi'raj and Chinese New Year on January 24-26, 2025.

Eva Chairunisa, a representative for the fast train operator PT KCIC, noted in Jakarta on Monday that the average daily passenger count during the period reached 22 thousand, marking a significant 29 percent increase from the usual 17 thousand on regular days.

She noted that passenger traffic peaked on Sunday (January 26), with Southeast Asia's first high-speed train service accommodating about 22,800 travelers.
