Manokwari, Aug. 25 -- The West Papua provincial government is finalizing a concept note on the use of Result-Based Payment (RBP) grant funds for climate change programs from the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
Head of the West Papua Forestry Service, Jimmy Walter Susanto, said on Monday that once completed, the activity proposal will be submitted to the Environmental Fund Management Agency (BPDLH).
He explained that the draft concept must cover seven types of activities to be implemented by the appointed intermediary institution, the Samdhana Institute. These include strengthening forest management units, the climate village program, forest and land rehabilitation, sustainable forest management, and forest fire prevention and management.
