Bandung, West Java, Nov. 6 -- The West Java Regional Police has deployed 2,500 personnel to anticipate potential natural disasters in the province due to the transitional season happening across the country.
West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan said the deployment is part of the "Sauyunan Jaga Lembur" movement, which aims to strengthen the preparedness of all regional elements in facing disaster risks.
"Based on forecasts from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), several potential disasters may occur in West Java. We are fully prepared as part of the response system, continuously training personnel and maintaining our equipment," Setiawan said here on Thursday.
