Bandung, Oct. 17 -- West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said on Thursday that 86,600 people have applied for jobs through the province's newly launched Nyari Gawe application since its debut in early October.

Mulyadi disclosed the figure to the chairperson of the West Java chapter of the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo), Ning Wahyu Astutik, while urging companies to regularly update information on job seekers who have been successfully hired through the platform.

"Please ensure companies actively update their data so that we can maintain accurate and transparent information," Mulyadi said in a statement in Bandung.
