Bekasi, Sept. 3 -- West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi is providing social security for three million informal workers in the province by enrolling them in work-related accident and death insurance programs.
"We will provide social security for all of them, including motorcycle taxi drivers, farmers, fishermen, porters, scavengers, and street vendors. The monthly contribution is Rp16,800 (US$1.02) for three million informal workers," Mulyadi said at Gedung Sate on Monday.
He confirmed that the budget for participant contributions will be paid in installments, with four months allocated from the 2025 Revised Regional Budget of West Java Province.
