Bandung, West Java, Jan. 17 -- State railway company KAI Operations Area 2 Bandung reported a seat occupancy rate of 72.4 percent, confirming West Java Province as a favorite destination for tourism during the Isra Miraj holiday period.

KAI Operations Area 2 Bandung Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo said here on Saturday that passenger movement has been massive, with arrivals peaking over the weekend.

As of Friday (January 16), a total of 48,829 tickets had been sold out of 67,410 available seats, and sales are expected to continue with on-the-spot ticket purchases.

Cumulatively from January 15-16, 2026, 29,680 passengers arrived, surpassing the 29,020 departures.
