Jakarta, Jan. 24 -- The World Economic Forum said it fully supports the Ocean Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for June 8-9 in Bali, backing Indonesia's push to advance the global blue economy agenda.

The support was formalized through a letter of intent signed by Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono and WEF managing directors Sebastian Buckup and Maroun Kairouz on Thursday, January 22.

The signing took place at the WEF Congress Center on the sidelines of the 2026 Davos meeting in Switzerland and was witnessed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

Indonesia's marine affairs ministry, which will co-host the summit, said the agreement aims to strengthen concrete action, partnerships, and sustainable investment.
